The Estonian-Latvian co-operation project "Est-Lat urban activists" is initiated by Linnalabor (EE) and the developers of SocMap (LV) with the aim of bringing together the neighbouring countries’ experts of everything urban. The cooperation project consists of Est-Lat urbanists' summer days in 2011, a study trip to Riga for Estonian participants and a study trip to Tartu for Latvian participants in 2012.
To maintain the contacts gained in Est-Lat urbanists' summer days and keep up the collaborative spirit between Latvian and Estonian urban experts, we are organising a study trip to Riga. Everyone interested in urban topics, citizen education and Baltic cooperation, join us on March 22 - 24!
PROGRAMME: On Thursday departure from Tallinn at 5 pm, from Tartu at 8 pm, arrival to Riga around midnight. On Friday participating in final conference of the public space project Radi Rigu, including a panel discussion with Riga city officials and the city architect of Copenhagen. On Saturday tours Radi Rigu action sites and to active neighbourhoods along with discussions about future cooperation between Latvian-Estonian urbanists.
Participation fee is 25 euros and covers the bus trip, accommodation in hotel Dodo and meals in Riga. BE QUICK AND REGISTER TO THE TRIP!
The study trip is part of the Estonian-Latvian urbanists' cooperation project supported by the Estonia - Latvia Programme. After the trip to Riga Latvian urbanists will visit us in Tartu on 31st of March and 1st of April.
